Jacek Namys\u0142owski Quartet and Jan Karpiel Bu\u0142ecka Band <gwmw style=\"display: none; background-color: transparent;\"><\/gwmw>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><gwmw style=\"display:none;\"><\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n<p>Namys\u0142owski with highlanders &#8211; reactivation<\/p>\n\n<p>This year marks the 30th anniversary of the recording of one of the most original and surprising projects of Zbigniew Namys\u0142owski, combining jazz with highlander music. The artist has always believed that Podhale musicians, like jazzmen, swing, what&#8217;s more, in his songs he often used highlander motifs and scale (m.in. <em>Pi\u0105tawka<\/em>, <em>Si\u00f3dmawka<\/em>, albums \u201cKujaviak goes funky\u201d, \u201cPolish Jazz &#8211; Yes\u201d), but he never played with musicians \u201cfrom the Tater\u201d. So he decided to see how such a \u201cconfrontation\u201d would work live. And so it happened &#8211; together with his Quartet and the band of the primordial Karpiela-Bu\u0142ecki, he recorded material that appeared on the album \u201cZbigniew Namys\u0142owski Quartet i kapela g\u00f3rali Zakopia\u0144ski\u201d (or \u201cZbigniew Namys\u0142owski Quartet &amp; Zakopane Highlanders Band\u201d); the album was released by the Austrian label Koch Jazz in 1995. The album delighted fans and critics, and Namys\u0142owski and the highlanders set off to conquer the world. They were warmly applauded everywhere, but the biggest shock was in Mexico, where no one had seen or heard anything like it before.     <\/p>\n\n<p>After 30 years, Jacek Namys\u0142owski, Zbigniew&#8217;s son, an outstanding trombonist and leader, who cooperated with his father for years, returned to the project.
