Piotr Damasiewicz Project

Piotr Damasiewicz is a comprehensively educated trumpeter (also a pianist and double bass player), composer, band leader, co-creator of many international projects, and an avid traveler. In his music, he combines jazz (especially free), elements of twentieth-century music and folklore from different parts of the world. He has collaborated with David Murray, James Carter, Tomasz Stańko, tuba player Zdzisław Piernik and Marcin Masecki, Dominik Wania, Maciej Obara and the Aukso Chamber Orchestra. Winner of the Fryderyk Award (2013), the Komeda Composition Competition, several times winner of the ranking of the “Jazz Forum” magazine.
